Basically we wanted the political aspect of the world to be constantly changing as the years progress, our basic idea was simply "wouldn't it be really cool if you controlled a small mercenary company within a game like Crusader Kings 2 completing various missions to get by but also with the ability to get involved with the politics side and influence the world." Cities can be conquered, alliances formed, rulers can be assassinated(you can do the assassinating with the right prerequisites in place!).
